THREE men have been arrested after police discovered around 200 suspected cannabis plants during a drugs warrant in Taxal.
Officers executed the warrant on the morning of Thursday, May 10 at a farm in Taxal, discovering the plants within a barn.
Three men, aged 34 and from Stockport, 40 and from Taxal and 41 and from Manchester, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of producing cannabis. They were interviewed and released on bail pending further inquiries.
A large amount of cash was also seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Meadows said: “I would urge anyone with information about drugs in their neighbourhood to come forward and speak to police by calling 101.
