Robbers strike at Disley supermarket armed with hammers

FOUR men armed with hammers have stolen a quantity of cash during an armed robbery at a Disley supermarket.

The men, who were all wearing balaclavas, entered the Co-Op store on Market Street at around 9.40pm on Tuesday.

Two female employees were left shaken but unharmed as a result of the incident.

Cheshire police are conducting extensive enquiries, and anyone with information should contact Wilmslow CID on 101.
