Re-appeal for information on attempted robbery in Buxton

POLICE have renewed their appeal for witness after an 85-year-old was allegedly threatened with a rolling pin in her Buxton home.

The attempted robbery occurred on Tuesday, June 5 when a man entered a property on Knowles Close, Fairfield and demanded money from the occupant, according to police.

Officers said the victim was then threatened, but after she took the offender outside, he ran off.

The offender is described as 18-19 years of age, white with a thin pale face and approximately 5ft 9ins tall.

He was wearing a black jacket with the hood worn up, black trousers and black trainers.

Officers are asking locals to look in their gardens and bins for a discarded rolling pin.
