Police want to speak to two men in connection with a purse theft in Furness Vale.

Between 12pm hours and 5pm on December 3, a purse was stolen from a desk in a factory office on Knowles Industrial Estate.

Two males were seen in the area acting suspiciously. One was an Asian looking male wearing a red coat, aged in his 40s. The other was a white male in his 20s wearing a dark coloured coat.

Anyone with any knowledge of the crime should contact PC 14357 Taylor at Buxton Police Station on 101.

A police spokesman said: “Sneak in thefts of this nature are a common in factory buildings and small shops. Thieves will look to enter unlocked buildings and shops or distract staff so another offender can look to steal personal items such as wallets, purses and mobile phones. Please keep all items of this nature on your person or in a locked location.”
