THE Police enquiry office in Chapel-en-le-Frith is to close to the public from next week.
Changes to the front counter services at police stations across Derbyshire were announced in January as part of cost-cutting plans.
The force said the move was necessary because reductions in police budgets, which were announced in October 2010, meant they were left with a deficit of £13 million by the end of 2012/13 - predicted to rise to a total of £24 million by 2014/15.
The enquiry office in New Mills closed earlier this year and the Chapel office will close on Monday.
Buxton enquiry office at the Silverlands will remain open.
