Police appeal following serious assault in Glossop

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with multiple fractures, cuts and bruises following an alleged assault in Glossop.

The incident is said to have taken place outside the Norfolk Arms, on Norfolk Square, at around 11pm on Tuesday November 11, when a 44-year-old man was approached by a group of around eight people, both male and female.

The victim spent three days in Tameside General Hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
