Police appeal after man assaulted in Buxton

Police in Buxton are appealing for information about an incident at a house in the town.

At about 8.15pm on Saturday a 32-year-old man was assaulted in a house on Fairfield Road and jumped out of the window to escape his attacker.

He sustained a head injury as a result of the assault but didn’t receive hospital treatment.

The two suspects are described as being of large build. One was wearing a blue top and the other wore a red and white striped top. The man in the red and white top was carrying what appeared to be a baseball bat. Both men ran off up Fairfield Road away from the town.

Officers believe that Fairfield Road was busy at the time and have appealed to anyone who saw anything to come forward.

Anyone who can help the police investigation should ring 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
