‘Nasty’ assault

A case of a man who assaulted his former partner in what magistrates described as a “particularly nasty incident”, has been adjourned for reports to be prepared.

David Anthony Porter, 49, of Whitehough, Chinley, admitted assaulting Jacqueline Porter in New Mills on February 21.

The case was adjourned until June 18 for reports to be prepared. Porter was released on conditional bail.
