A believed hit and run in Glossop town centre left a man needing hospital treatment.

On Thursday March 19, at about 6.50pm, a white long wheel base van is thought to have made contact with a 38-year-old man who was crossing the junction of Sunlaw Street. The van turned left onto Sunlaw Street from High Street West, Glossop.

The collision caused the pedestrian to fall to the ground and he was later treated in hospital. The vehicle continued on up Sunlaw Street.
