Heroin is found

POLICE who stopped and searched a Buxton man found he had a small quantity of heroin, worth £10, High Peak magistrates heard on Monday.

Christian Lee Harrison, 24, of Macclesfield Road, admitted the offence. He was given a six-month community order, with a drug treatment and testing requirement.

Saul Comish, defending, said Harrison had developed a serious heroin habit and had expressed a genuine desire to deal with the problem and had already sought help from his GP.

Harrison was ordered to pay £85 court costs.
