Glossop OAP drove off after crash

A Glossop pensioner has been fined for crashing into a car outside a supermarket and driving off.

Norman Riley admitted driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident at High Peak Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday.

The 82-year-old hit a parked Subaru Forester with his blue Citroen Picasso in Tesco car park at Wren Nest Mill, Glossop, at about 11.45am on February 3. Riley, of Whitfield Avenue, was ordered to pay a £110 fine, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs and his licence was endorsed with seven points.
