Cigarettes taken in Whaley Bridge shop burglary

A LARGE quantity of cigarettes are believed to have been taken during a burglary at a Whaley Bridge shop.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the break-in at the Co-op Late Shop, on Buxton Road, just after midnight on Monday November 7.

Three men are alleged to have broken into the store and taken the cigarettes.

Officers are keen to find out more information about a small dark Peugeot car which had been parked in the area at the time.

This vehicle is also thought to have travelled along the A6 and into New Mills.
