A woman caught driving while disqualified in Glossop has been fined.
Diane Lanigan was banned from driving by magistrates in Denbighshire in January for six months, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard.
But she was caught driving a Ford Focus on Norfolk Street, Glossop, on March 22, prosecutor Jennifer Fitzgerald said.
Lanigan, 54, of John Kennedy Gardens, Mottram, admitted driving while disqualified.
Kirsten Collings, defending, said Lanigan wasn’t present in court when she was banned and “no correspondence was received that a disqualification had been imposed. She accepts she should have made enquiries.
“She is 54 and has never been in trouble before.”
Lanigan was fined £110, ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 surcharge and given six penalty points.
