Arrests leads to drug haul claim

Around 200 suspected cannabis plants have been found by police at a house in Buxton.

Officers stopped and searched two men and one woman on Spring Gardens on Thursday, July 28.

One of the men, a 41-year-old from Buxton, was arrested and subsequently charged with possessing cannabis, and a 34-year-old woman from Stockport was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug.

She has been bailed pending further enquiries.

As part of the investigation, officers searched a house on West Road later that day and found the plants.

A 42-year-old man from Buxton was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and later bailed pending further enquiries.
