Appeal after race assault in Buxton

AN APPEAL has been issued for witnesses after a racially aggravated assault in Buxton.

Police say the incident happened on the Market Place at around 2.30am on Saturday April 7, when a 26-year-old local man was approached by four men who shouted racist abuse at him.

The victim called back at the men who pushed him to the ground and kicked him. He suffered cuts and bruising to his body.
