A Buxton church has been transformed into a winter wonderland.

Christ Church in Burbage is holding its annual Christmas tree festival, with trees decorated by a number of local groups and organisations.

The church will be open from 2pm to 4pm up until December 23, and from 4pm on December 24. It will then be open from 10am to noon on Saturday January 3.

The church is currently raising money for further restoration work. A new fundraising appeal has been launched for the £50,000 needed for repair work to the chancel, organ and north east vestry.

Donations, with cheques payable to Buxton PCC (Christ Church), can be sent to the Buxton Parish Office, 29 Bath Road, Buxton, SK17 9HJ.
