A SOLDIER’S son has rallied his classmates to help provide a Christmas morale boost for troops on the front line.

Each year, six-year-old William Fletcher-Wells’ family send gift boxes, containing items such as toiletries, sweets, food items and magazines, to Afghanistan as part of an appeal by the charity Support Our Soldiers.

But this year, William came up with the idea of getting his classmates at St Anne’s RC Primary School in Buxton involved by making Christmas cards to send with the boxes.

William’s mum Melanie said: “The soldiers love it when they receive the cards and gifts.”
