Chefs help Chapel youngsters cook up a storm

A High Peak school has celebrated National School Meals Week by trying their hands at baking with the help of two local chefs.

Chapel-en-le-Frith Primary School was visited by Alan Hill, head chef of The Cavendish Hotel in Baslow and Gareth Jones, owner and head chef of Rems Café Bar in Chapel.

The youngsters dressed in red, white and blue and got stuck in to baking scones with expert help from the two chefs. Children were also asked to decorate cupcakes at home to bring into school for Alan and Gareth to judge.
