A Peak District attraction has been named one of the top places to visit in the UK on a leading tourism website.
Chatsworth House came ninth in the country’s top ten landmarks category of the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Attractions awards
The winners are based on millions of reviews and opinions from travellers around the world.
The Duke of Devonshire said: “We’re absolutely delighted with this award, particularly as it comes from visitors themselves.
“There is always something new and interesting for visitors to enjoy here and the whole team works really hard to make Chatsworth a great place to visit.
“It’s great that their efforts have been recognised by our visitors.”
The 16th Century house, which has a 1000 acre park, has been home to the Cavendish family since 1549 and a firm favourite with visitors to the Peak District from all over the world for decades.
