STAFF AND clients at New Bodies Gym have been paying more than lip service to charity this month.
Almost 50 people across both New Bodies Gyms in Buxton and New Mills have taken part in the moustache growing charity event Movember, which raises money and awareness for men’s health. Participants are encouraged to grow a moustache for the month of November and collect funds for the charity by doing so.
Everyone who took part has been sponsored for their moustache growing efforts and a Mo party was also held over the weekend with bands performing and further donations collected.
And their efforts have more than paid off with over £3,800 raised for the charity, though this is expected to rise to around £4,000 once all the money has been collected.
Staff member George Darbyshire thanked everyone who has supported the team’s fundraising efforts, particularly their client Andrew Emmett, who raised around £60.
