A charity masquerade ball is taking place in Buxton next weekend.
The event, at the Palace Hotel on November 23, will raise money for Blythe House, East Cheshire and Ashgate hospices. It is being organised by Amanda Cox and Jenna Pearson, in memory of Buxton’s Kate Element, who died of cancer earlier this year, and in support of Eilish Hoole, who is currently fighting ovarian cancer. The event was last held in 2009, raising £6,000.
The theme is spruce and sparkle, black, gold and red. For tickets, priced £35 including a three-course meal, call Amanda on 07446825917 or Jenna on 07734 267 435.
