A local charity is offering prizes and the chance to help celebrate the countryside in and around the national park with its annual photo competition.
Friends of the Peak District is looking for images that show the beauty of the landscapes that it works to protect. The top prize is a weekend break for two worth £250 provided by its partner, Large Outdoors, and a year’s free membership to the charity.
The winner of the competition last year was Chris Charlesworth. His photograph “Dawn of a New Day” captured the sun rising behind Higger Tor and looking down the Burbage Valley towards Carl Wark.
Anyone can enter Friends of the Peak District’s photo competition.
Information and entry forms are at www.friendsofthepeak.org.uk or ring 0114 266 5822. The deadline for the competition is December 1.
