The event featured displays by the Army Cadets and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team. Derbyshire Constabulary were also in attendance.

There was a display of war memorabilia and photographs featuring local people that had been organised by the Friends of Chapel Park while children were kept amused with a variety of games.

Music was provided by Chapel Town Band.

The park was created as a memorial to those from the area who lost their lives in the First World War.
