The bank holiday sunshine brought residents and visitors flocking to Buxton for the Spring Fair.
The event, organised by Buxton Town Team, took place throughout the town and offered a variety of stalls, exhibitions and entertainment.
Janet Miller, of the town team, said: “It was a pretty amazing day. We were really pleased.
“I haven’t seen Buxton so busy in decades – you could hardly move in Spring Gardens and up in the Market Place.
“There were loads of people out listening to the bands and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.”
She gave her thanks to all the various sponsors and helpers who took part in the day, as well as the companies who loaned equipment.
“We couldn’t have done it without them,” she said.
Janet also gave her thanks to the Buxton Rotary Club for its help and the students from University of Derby Buxton who helped organise the event and took part on the day.
