Buxton’s Devonshire Dome hosts the Northern Design Awards tonight (Friday), featuring top names including Linda Barker and Wayne Hemingway MBE.

Around 350 guests will enjoy a champagne reception and gala dinner, followed by the awards, which are being hosted by Wayne and Linda.

Looking ahead to the awards, Wayne said: “Where better to celebrate the region’s best creative talent than in the town of Buxton which is famed for its impressive Georgian architecture including the stunning Devonshire Dome which still stands proud today as a fine example of 18th century design.

“I’m thrilled to be hosting the awards at the Devonshire Dome and looking forward to celebrating the very best northern design talent within such an inspiring setting.”

The judging panel also included George Clarke of BBC’s Restoration Man, Jan Constantine, George Bond, HRH Princess Katarina, Alison Vance and Noel Farrer.

Event organiser Shelley Bond of Jazz Events, said: “Due to the continued success of the Northern Design Awards, we’ve moved the event to the stunning Devonshire Dome in Buxton, our biggest venue to date.”
