Dozens of superheroes raced into action in Buxton on Sunday to help High Peak patients.
Caped crusaders, including Wonder Woman, Superman and Spiderman, joined forces to take part in a 5K fun run in aid of Ashgate Hospice.
Almost 100 heroic runners donned fancy dress to complete three laps of the Pavilion Gardens, raising more than £2,500 for the Chesterfield charity.
Ali Ward-Foster, community fundraising manager of the hospice, said: “It was great, the costumes were fabulous and we had whole families taking part with grandparents, parents and kids. We had from entrants from age four to over 70!
“It was our first event for Ashgate in the High Peak but we’ve been caring for people in the area for more than 20 years. The money raised will fund more than 35 visits to homes in High Peak from the Home Care team.”
She added she’d like to thank everyone involved for their support, including sponsors Markovitz and CrossFit for leading the warm up.
