Grateful mountain rescuers have honoured a small group of fundraisers who aided their vital work.

Just five ladies make up Chapel en le Frith Trefoil Guild and one of their key aims is to raise money for local charities.

Their £100 donation to Buxton Mountain Rescue Service will go towards the final push to replace the team’s control vehicle which is currently under conversion.

Rescue service trustees decided to award a

Certificate of Appreciation to the guild which was presented by team member Roger Bennett at the guild’s meeting this month.
