A Buxton man was found in possession of drugs after police were called to a disturbance at a town centre bar, a court heard.
Officers attended Trunk on Buxton Market Place in the early hours of October 26, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard. On arrival, one of the door staff handed them a wallet belonging to Andrew Carr, prosecutor Jennifer Fitzgerald said.
Inside, they found two small bags containing cocaine. Inside Carr’s coat pocket, they also found 3.53 grams of cannabis.
The 34-year-old, of Hardwick Square South, admitted possessing class A and class B drugs.
Kirsten Collings, defending, said Carr was not involved in the disturbance and added: “The facts are very straight forward and are not disputed by the defendant.”
He was fined £300 for the possession of cocaine and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge. There was no separate penalty for the cannabis offence.
