Officers investigating an allegation of voyeurism in some public toilets in Buxton have charged a man.

Carl Slack, 37, of Doveridge Grove, Fairfield, has been charged with observing a person doing a private act and is due before magistrates in Stockport on August 22.

At around 1.30pm on Sunday, January 24, a man was in a toilet cubicle at Pavilion Gardens, near to the Paxton Suite entrance, when he alleges that he saw someone holding a compact mirror on the floor, in between two cubicles.

The man shouted to see if anyone was in the cubicle and then heard someone leave in a hurry.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101.
