A Buxton author’s children’s book has been shortlisted for the People’s Book Prize.
Tania Bramley’s book The Boys’ Own Bug Club: Stanley and the Slugs is shortlisted in the children’s section of the awards, which are voted for by the people. The competition holds a voting system every season (spring, summer, autumn and winter) and Tania’s book is nominated in the winter season.
If Tania’s book gets enough votes, she will join finalists from all four seasons of the awards who will then go head to head for a further four weeks of voting in May before a large televised event is held in London where the winners are announced and the prizes are given.
Tania, who grew up in the area, has so far published five children’s books including Nananette and the Doldrums, Nananette and the Wreckers, Chintz the Chihuhua, A Horse for Hawthorns and The Boys’ Own Bug Club.
