Will power to aid charities

HIGH Peak solicitors are once again taking part in this month’s Will Aid campaign.

Participating solicitors, including Brooke-Taylors in Buxton and Bishop & Co in New Mills, will draw up a basic will and, instead of charging a fee, ask clients to make a donation to Will Aid.

All the money raised is shared between nine charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland).

Will Aid’s Shirley Marsland said: “Our participating solicitors are a friendly bunch and very keen to help will-makers of any age.”
