BUXTON business Steve’s Tyres & Exhausts is supporting a new campaign aimed at raising money for two local charities.

Kumho Tyres has launched its ‘Cash for Causes’ campaign, which will see the company give away more than £100,000 to deserving local charities, groups and projects, through its ECSTA Performance Centre (EPC) retail partners.

Steve’s Tyres & Exhausts is one of 200 Kumho Tyres EPC retailers across the country which has signed up to ‘Cash for Causes’, nominating Buxton Mountain Rescue Team and Good News Family Care as the community projects they feel deserve a donation.

They then go head to head in a public vote to see which one the community feels should receive the larger share.

Kumho Tyres’ marketing director, John Thrupp, said: “Kumho enjoys close links with our EPC retailers who share with us the same philosophy of wanting to support deserving causes in the local community.”

Customers can cast their vote in the shop or at www.kumhocauses.com. Voting closes on September 7 with the local winner being announced on September 25. An overall national winner, picked via online vote only, will also receive an extra £2,000 bonus, with a runner-up receiving £1,000.
