A Stoney Middleton woman has been appointed as the new business development manager of the Carden Park De Vere hotel, golf resort and spa in Cheshire.

Emily Williamson, 29, has previously worked at the Peak Edge Hotel in Ashover, before moving to York’s Hotel du Vin.

She was shortlisted for both the Yorkshire and Humber Forward Ladies young businesswoman of the year award and the York Woman in Enterprise award 2012 for her personal contribution to business development at Hotel du Vin. She was highly commended in the York awards and then went on to win Yorkshire young businesswoman of the year.

Emily has two daughters and has suffered a great deal of tragedy in her personal life, losing her husband suddenly while she was pregnant with her second child.
