New chief at health trust

DERBYSHIRE Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has recently appointed a new chief executive.

Steve Trenchard took up the role on February 1. A registered mental health nurse by background, Steve has more than 20 years of healthcare experience across the NHS, the independent sector and academia.

Alan Baines, trust chairman, said: “We are delighted to have appointed a chief executive of Steve’s calibre and strong clinical background. I believe the trust will have a very bright future under his leadership.”
