GASCOIGNE Halman has picked up a prestigious honour at the recent Estate Agency of the Year Awards.

The independent estate agent, which has a branch in Whaley Bridge, received a silver award for Best Medium Sized Estate Agency (Northern), at the awards run in association with The Sunday Times and The Times.

Managing director John Halman and fellow director Peter Higham collected the award, presented by Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington OBE, during a glittering ceremony held at the Lancaster Hotel in London.

Commenting on the win, Mr Halman said: “The award bears testament to the dedication and hard work of the team and is a ringing endorsement for everything that we do.”
