Help with funding for Peak firms

Ambitious local businesses who want to grow and create jobs could benefit from a £5 million fund.

The Local Enterprise Partnership, D2N2, has secured the money from the Regional Growth Fund to provide grants of up to 25 per cent in support of investment projects with a minimum overall value of £200,000 and, in exceptional circumstances, could offer grants of up to £500,000.

D2N2 is hosting a breakfast seminar at The Palace Hotel in Buxton on Monday, March 25, where local businesses can find out more about the grant and growth plans for the area. The event, which runs from 8am to 10am, with refreshments from 7.30am, is free but booking is essential.

State Aid rules apply and all applications that can demonstrate a well thought out business case, significant job creation and value for money will be considered.

Information on this, and other funding opportunities and events, is available in the business section of the council’s website www.highpeak.gov.uk
