Get set for Derbsyhire food oscars
FOOD and drink businesses are being urged to get their entries in for this year's prestigious Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards.
Derbyshire County Council is organising the awards for the eighth year and they will be presented by Celebrity TV chef Brian Turner at a ceremony held at Thornbridge Hall, Ashford-in-the-Water, on Thursday, October 15.
Entries are invited from any catering business serving locally cooked food and promoting it on their menus. Application forms need to be submitted by July 25.
The categories are: Derbyshire Restaurant of the Year; Derbyshire Pub/Bistro of the Year; Derbyshire Coffee House/Tearoom of the Year; Derbyshire's Best International Restaurant; Derbyshire Local Food Hero 2009 and Derbyshire Master Chef 2009.
