Derbyshire Fire brigade came to the rescue of Buxton Sparkles on Saturday by offering to put up their newly acquired Christmas lights in the Pavilion Gardens thanks to money generously donated by Buxton Round Table.

“The local community have also been very supportive in our recent fundraising efforts of a Beetle Drive and a bag pack at Marks & Spencers ” said Andrea Lewis, chair of Buxton Sparkles, “ but it would be great to have a bit more support from local businesses so we could put lights on the Market Place and all around town in years to come.”

An evening of entertainment for all the family will take place around the Switch On event in the Pavilion Gardens on Friday, November 25.
