Buxton-based Fig Creative marketing have been short-listed for a Derbyshire business award.
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce’s Derbyshire’s BEST Business Awards 2012 are aimed at recognising and rewarding the achievements of successful local firms and business leaders, and will be presented at a gala black tie awards dinner in September.
They are split into nine different categories that celebrate more than just business acumen. As well as honouring the achievements of the county’s best business, start-up and entrepreneur, there are categories for firms that have innovated, invested in staff development, considered their impact on the environment or excelled at exporting, customer care or marketing.
All of this year’s awards winners will automatically be entered into the regional and national Chamber awards, with the chance to win cash prizes worth up to £100,000.
Fig Creative are finalists in the Marketing Campaign of the Year section.
DNCC Chief Executive George Cowcher said: “Once again, the calibre of entries has been extremely high and the Chamber has been inundated with high quality applications from businesses of all sizes and from all quarters of the county, representing a number of different sectors.
“Narrowing the shortlist down to just three finalists in each category was no mean feat for the judges, and some extremely difficult decisions will need to be made about who the overall winners will be.”
