High Peak MP Andrew Bingham has been praised for organising a seminar aimed at boosting exports among local businesses.
Organised in association with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the event at Chapel Golf Club attracted representatives of more than 20 High Peak companies.
The four-hour programme included speakers from UKTI and the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Managing Director of Street Crane, Andrew Pimblett, who gave a presentation about successful exporting.
Kerry Bailey, Partnership Development Manager for UKTI, said: “Exporting is vital to the future prosperity of the region and the nation.
“This event has brought together a range of organisations and individuals whose remit is to work together to help businesses understand the great benefits that exporting can bring. It has been a pleasure working with them and my thanks go to Andrew Bingham MP and his office for supporting the day.”
Mr Bingham added: “I’m very pleased with how the day went. A lot of people have said to me how useful the day was to them, and I hope it spurs their businesses into further growth.
“We have some great businesses in the High Peak and I am determined to support them in whatever way I can.”
