The owners of a popular Peak cafe have purchased their business’ premises with funding from NatWest.

Alasdair and Julie Openshaw have been running the Yondermann cafe in Wardlow Mires, Buxton, for six years.

Now, thanks to funding from Natwest, they have been able to purchase the premises.

Alasdair said: “Having leased the premises for six years we decided to try and purchase the freehold to allow us to secure and invest in the future of our business.”

When the time came to secure funding for the purchase, Alasdair and Julie turned to NatWest relationship manager Peter Haykin for support and Peter obtained a loan to facilitate.

Julie said “It’s the first time we have worked with NatWest and we would definitely work with Peter again. He offered good support and advice throughout.”

The cafe employs eight people.
