Changing the use of a garage at a Buxton property to business storage has been approved by councillors.
The application, to use the existing domestic garage at a property on White Knowle Road for business storage, was agreed by members of High Peak Borough Council’s Development Control Committee on Monday.
The garage belongs to a residential property on White Knowle Road, which has been split into two apartments with access coming via a shared access with an adjacent property.
Speaking at the meeting, High Peak Borough Council ward councillor Emily Thrane asked members to refuse the application because of the loss of amenity to neighbours, and the failure to meet recommendations made by the highways authority relating to a turning space.
However, councillors disagreed and approved the application for 12 months with a number of conditions.
