Entrepreneurs from across the Peak will be promoting the area’s interests to the first ever European Rural Parliament.
Bright Sparks,a network of people brought together to benefit the Peak District, will be one of 150 policy makers and practitioners in rural development at the international event, being held in Brussels in November.
The organisation’s project manager David Gluck said: “Bright Sparks has proved a great success in providing a means of helping small rural businesses over the past two years and we are determined not to see it fade away just because the core funding from leader has now gone.
“One of the real opportunities is to look at partnerships with other organisations across Europe to learn from each other, to find new support for projects like ours and to help peak businesses access new funding streams from Europe in particular as we enter a new phase of assistance for rural development from the EU.”
Bright Sparks will give a presentation on its progress at Bakewell Town Hall on September 18. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07973 523392.
