Burlesque comes to Buxton

Furness Vale artist Andrea Joseph is hosting a life drawing event with a difference on April 9 at 7.30pm above the Old Clubhouse, on Water Street, in Buxton.

She said: “The idea is we have models posing for various lengths of time and in various poses for sketchers. Unlike traditional life drawing events we do all this in the pub, with themes, competitions, drinks, music, performance and fun. This time we have a Victorian Steampunk theme which works perfectly with the setting, the former Victorian gentleman’s club.”
