Buxton’s Ashwood Park is set to spring back to life next year when 2,500 bulbs burst into bloom, thanks to a Town Team-led project.

Students from Buxton and Leek College, High Peak Borough Council staff, Buxton Lions and Burbage Gardening Group, along with the Buxton Town Team, have joined together to improve the area around where Hogshaw Brook joins the River Wye, at the bottom of Fairfield Road and across in Sylvan Park.

Helen Davison, of the Town team, said: We work together most Wednesday afternoons and you can already see a big difference. Once a month a crowd of volunteers descend on the Park for a couple of hours to clear another section.” To find out how you can take part, visit buxtontownteam.org
