A HIGH Peak village will be blooming this weekend as it celebrates its annual flower festival.
The theme of this year’s Hayfield flower festival is Wedding Anniversaries and the event will be held in the Grade II listed Methodist Chapel in Hayfield.
A well dressing adjoins the church and wells through the village will also be dressed.
There is no charge for viewing however donations are welcomed. Light refreshments will be available and coach parties are welcome though prior notification is preferred.
The event runs from Sunday July 8 to Saturday July 14 and will be open from 2pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, July 8 and from 10.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays and Saturday July 14.
A Songs of Praise service led by Colin Smith BA Msc MinstP with music by Edward Simpson will take place on Sunday, July 15 at 6pm.
