A former Lady Manners pupil is hoping to be crowned Miss England 2015 later this month – and then go on to represent her country in the Miss World competition.

Stunning Stephanie Hill, 20, was crowned Miss South Yorkshire on Valentine’s Day this year and will now go up against 53 other regional winners for her chance to be crowned Miss England.

If successful, Stephanie will be entered into the Miss World competition, which will be held in Sanya, China, on December 19.

Stephanie, who is now studying a degree in Radiotherapy and Oncology, said: “I’m hoping to do well in Miss England. But, to be honest, I’m just enjoying every minute of the experience so far.

“I’ve performed at a fashion event attended by Prince harry, I’ve had shoots with world-class photographers, I’ve been filmed by revered filmmakers – it’s just
incredible.”

She added: “Some of my photographs have even been published in the nationals this week, which is such an honour.”

But using her status to help charities and entertain people with terminal illnesses is just as important to Stephanie.

She has worked closely with Ashgate Hospice and has recently been made an ambassador of the Landmarks Independent Specialist College, in Eckington.

Last weekend, Stephanie participated in the Wheelchair Awareness Challenge – a 162-mile wheelchair push from Leicester to Blackpool – to support 17-year-old amputee Calum Mayes and his chosen charities.
