A Buxworth man who was caught driving without insurance has been given six penalty points.
Prosecutor John Cooper told High Peak Magistrates’ Court Jack Hardman was stopped by police on Lower Lane, Chinley, at 7.55am on February 3. Checks revealed he had no insurance.
Hardman, 63, of Brierley Park, was convicted in his absence.
He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge. Magistrates also banned him from driving for six months as he already had six points on his licence.
