Twenty-two-year old James Howe is to find out why he’s such a bad bet as a boyfriend – in front of thousands of TV viewers...
He and his girlfriend are to feature in the new series of E4’s Borstal for bad boyfriends – Tool Academy, filmed in Spain during the summer.
James was told he was taking part in a show competing to be crowned the ultimate lad, but instead found it was a relationship game show.
He and the other contestants will be seen sleeping in stables with no hot water, undergoing an intense course of couple therapy, group sharing and trust exercises. At the end of the series just one of them will take home the £25,000 prize.
Channel 4 Head of Formats Dominic Bird said: “This series promises to be the most mischievous and entertaining yet.”
James, who works as an undertaker and has been a voluntary football manager with Chapel Town under 13s, is currently looking for more TV work.
The series, which has adult content and bad language, will be screened on E4, starting at 10pm on October 23.
