Businesses are being offered the chance to get a head start on their Christmas sales by booking a stall at an autumn fair in Buxton in aid of the Thomas Theyer Foundation.
One exhibitor who came in 2015 has hired double the space for this year’s event, to be held at the Devonshire Dome on Sunday (October 23, 10 am to 4 pm), after experiencing an 80 per cent increase in sales. “It was brilliant,” said Vicky Zoppi Chelton, of online gift business A Touch of Chic.
The fair features stalls selling a wide range of ideas for Christmas presents and also food, drink and family attractions. Use of the spectacular venue has been donated by the University of Derby to support the foundation, set up in memory of keen runner and Buxton Athletics Club member Thomas, who died suddenly, aged just 18, in 2013.
